Will you Walk for Water OR Run for Radios?

Over 520 runners/walkers participated this year, raising $65,863 to help bring the gospel by radio and sustainable access to safe water to the South Sudanese. Thanks to you and our sponsors, 2,195 more families in South Sudan will be receiving a radio this year and 131 more water wells will be repaired.

Participants will have the option to Walk for Water OR Run for Radios. Tickets start at $35, and each registration either sends a radio to South Sudan or provides water to a family.
1. Why Participate?
Run for Radios: In South Sudan, 3 out of 4 people can't read. Every Village's radio network supports the work of the local church by broadcasting the gospel and community development teaching through solar radios. Each registration sends a radio to South Sudan!
Walk for Water: Around 50% of the South Sudanese don't have sustainable access to working water wells. Every Village works with local communities to provide training and spare parts so that the South Sudanese can have sustainable access to safe water. Each registration helps provide a household with daily access to water for a year.
2. The Course
This race is fully contained within the fenced-in property of Houston Christian High School. The starting and finishing line will be on the track in front of the bleachers. Please not that sections of the course are on grass, which might limit the mobility of strollers.
3. Awards
Medals will be given to the overall top three male and female finishers as well as the top two male and female finishers in the below age groups:
- 19 and Under
- 20-34
- 35-49
- 50 and Above
*We will be photographing this event. Your attendance grants Every Village permission to publish any photo containing your likeness online or in printed publications for marketing and communication purposes. If you do not wish to grant this permission, please email amanda.bissett@everyvillage.org to notify Every Village by April 5, 2023.
